Above all - a fun time! Our classes are designed to be encouraging, lively, social and entertaining. You'll leave with a memorable experience, stories to share, and your very own masterpiece. And perhaps you'll have uncorked a bit of hidden creativity, your own inner Muse.
We provide all the necessary art materials including paint, canvas, brushes, smocks, etc. Some of our public events are BYOB, some are not. Please see each event's description for those details.
What if I'm not artsy or creative?
No worries, that's exactly why our classes and parties are artist-led! Our artist will recreate the painting du jour with you, showing you how to paint step-by-step, start-to-finish. Most of our guests have little to no art experience. And guests that do have an art background will find our classes fun and entertaining, too!
I am artsy, but my friend/date - not so much. How can I assure them they'll have a good time?
Our mission at aMuse Uncorked is to create a fun, upscale, entertaining experience; not world-class artists. Our environment is judgment-free, stress-free and encouraging. We pour, we sip, we paint, we laugh. Remember, there's no such thing as "perfect" art. So come as you are, with art skills or without, no matter what age, and experience something unique and fun and not-so-ordinary to do!
How do I sign up for a class?
It's easy! Just visit our Class Calendar page, click on the date and painting that works for you, pay for your seat(s), and that's it. Reserve your seats online today as many of our events do sell out!
Do I have to paint what the artist paints? Or can I do "my own thing?"
It's your painting, you can absolutely do your own thing if you'd like! Most of our guests follow along with the artist. Occasionally guests will change a background color or, say, the shape of a glass. But we have had guests do something totally and completely different. That part is totally up to you!
I signed up for a class. What time do I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the class starting time. That will give you time to check-in, find your seat, pour a drink and mingle with other party guests. Classes start on-time, at the time shown on the Calendar and last about two hours. Late arrivals are still welcome, but may need to play catchup on their own.
What should I wear?
No dress code here! Canvas painting is less messy than you may think, however you may decide to leave your very favorite outfit at home. We use acrylic paints which aren't known to come out of clothing easily. We will provide smocks to those who want them.
What should I bring?
This varies by event. For public classes listed as not-BYOB, just bring an open mind and a desire to have fun! For BYOB events... Those 21 and older* may bring their favorite beverage - wine is most popular, but we see plenty of champagne, beer, mixed drinks, even soda, water, etc. We supply wine glasses and corkscrews, but we do not supply ice. Some beer drinkers prefer to bring their own small cooler. For guests who would like to bring snacks, keep in mind your hands may be messy - skewered hors d'oeuvres (cheese, meat, fruits, veggies) seem to work best, but pretzels and crackers are also very popular - it's up to you.
Do you have an age limit?
For our typical event marked BYOB on our Class Calendar, guests must be 18 or older. We do offer daytime private parties for children, in which case there's no age limit. If you book your own Private Party with us, you may determine the age limit for the event. Generally, if alcohol will be present, we recommend a minimum age of 18. But feel free to contact us with specific questions.
This would make an awesome party! But can you bring the party to MY house or venue?
Yes it does - and absolutely! Learn more on our Traveling Painting Parties page.
* Guest must be 21 or older to consume alcohol. Please be prepared to show valid photo ID, we hope you consider it a compliment to your youthful appearance! Please drink responsibly. Individual responsibility in alcohol consumption is expected, however management reserves the right to limit any guests' consumption without issuing a refund.
